Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Brings Rose Belmont Into the Spotlight
Konami has confirmed that Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will launch on October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The announcement arrived with a new trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase, offering fresh gameplay, additional environments, new bosses, and original artwork by acclaimed manga artist and illustrator Katsuya Terada.
Pre-orders are now open, with Konami also revealing early purchase bonuses, pre-order bonuses, and the contents of the Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Midnight Edition. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned, though its release date and pre-order timing will be announced later.
Rose Belmont Heads to Paris and Dracula’s Castle
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is an exploration-based 2D action game developed by KONAMI and Evil Empire, with advisory support from Motion Twin.
Set in Paris in 1499, the story takes place 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Players follow Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, as she battles through monster-filled streets, Parisian catacombs, and the dark halls of Dracula’s castle.
Armed with the legendary holy whip Vampire Killer, Rose takes up the Belmont legacy against a new wave of darkness. The trailer highlights gothic environments, fast combat, and the familiar mix of exploration and ability-driven progression that has long defined Castlevania’s most beloved entries.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Midnight Edition Details
Players who purchase early or pre-order Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will receive the Alucard Style Costume, giving Rose a visual nod to one of the series’ most iconic characters. The Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Midnight Edition will include the main game, a Digital Sound and Art Gallery featuring 71 tracks, and three bonus in-game items.
Those bonuses include the Trevor Style Costume, Sypha Style Costume, and Family’s Grace relic. For longtime fans, the edition is clearly leaning into the game’s direct connection to Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and the wider Belmont lineage.
Evil Empire and Motion Twin Strengthen the Castlevania Link

The development setup gives Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse an interesting pedigree. Evil Empire is leading development after its work on Dead Cells updates and DLC, while Motion Twin is involved in an advisory role.
That connection will naturally draw attention after Dead Cells crossed paths with Castlevania through Return to Castlevania. With Konami’s own series celebrating its 40th anniversary in September, Belmont’s Curse arrives at a meaningful time for one of gaming’s most influential gothic action franchises.
