Total War: Warhammer III – Lords of the End Times Arrives September 24
SEGA and Creative Assembly have confirmed that Total War: Warhammer III – Lords of the End Times will launch on September 24, bringing four new Legendary Lords into the Immortal Empires campaign.
Described as the largest DLC in the series’ 10-year history, the expansion takes inspiration from Warhammer’s apocalyptic End Times and adds new factions, units, mechanics and objectives across the campaign. The four headlining Legendary Lords are Nagash, Boris Todbringer, the Glottkin and Thanquol, each with their own strategic focus and campaign identity.
Four Legendary Lords Lead the End Times
Nagash arrives as the Supreme Lord of the Undead, pursuing godhood by draining the world of life, while Boris Todbringer fights to defend the Empire and restore the power of Ulric. The Glottkin bring Nurgle’s influence across the campaign, while Thanquol leans into schemes and manipulation through his own master plans.
Each Lord is supported by new battlefield units and characters. Among the additions are the Khemric Titan, Verminlords, Putrid Blight Kings and the Celestial Hurricanum. The full bundle includes four Legendary Lords, eight Legendary Heroes, five additional Lords and Heroes, 23 battle units and 12 Regiments of Renown.
Immortal Empires Becomes Easier to Access
One of the more significant changes is how Lords of the End Times handles access to Immortal Empires in Total War: Warhammer III. For the first time, buying the DLC, either as the full bundle or through one of its individual Legendary Lord packs, grants access to the Immortal Empires campaign without requiring ownership of another Total War: WARHAMMER game.
That effectively makes the expansion a new entry point for players who want to jump directly into the series’ largest campaign without first building up a library of previous releases.
A Major Free Update Launches Alongside the DLC
The paid expansion will be accompanied by one of the biggest free updates Total War: WARHAMMER III has received. Neferata joins the game as a free Legendary Lord, while the Vampire Counts and Archaon the Everchosen are both getting substantial reworks.
New End Game Scenarios are also being added, including Chaos Invasion, Vermintide and Nagash Rises, alongside updated Victory Conditions for every legacy Legendary Lord.
Creative Assembly has also made clear that this is not the end of Total War: WARHAMMER, despite the fittingly apocalyptic name of the expansion.

Lords of the End Times Launches in September
The expansion can be purchased as a complete bundle or through individual Legendary Lord packs, depending on which faction players want to add to their campaign.
Between four major Lords, a large batch of units and the free systems update arriving alongside it, Lords of the End Times looks set to be one of the most substantial additions the game has received.
Total War: WARHAMMER III – Lords of the End Times launches on September 24 for Windows and Mac via Steam, the Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store.
