Just Dance: Decades of Hits Travels Through Six Eras of Music
Ubisoft is taking Just Dance on a trip through musical history with Just Dance: Decades of Hits, a new release bringing together 35 songs spanning the 1970s through the 2020s. The game launches on October 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, while the native Nintendo Switch 2 version follows on November 10.
Rather than focusing predominantly on contemporary hits, Decades of Hits moves across six different musical eras. Confirmed songs include Mamma Mia by ABBA, Uptown Girl by Billy Joel, It’s Tricky by Run-DMC, No Scrubs by TLC, Wannabe by Spice Girls and Bye Bye Bye by *NSYNC.
Later decades bring Gorillaz’s Feel Good Inc., DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s Turn Down for What, Don Omar and Lucenzo’s Danza Kuduro, alongside newer tracks including Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild and Bad Bunny’s NUEVAYoL.
Adventure Mode Sends Lyra Through Time
The biggest new addition in Just Dance: Decades of Hits is an Adventure Mode built specifically around the decades concept. Players follow Lyra, daughter of Dr. Gigavolt, as she travels through time attempting to rescue her father.
The journey spans six themed worlds that match the different musical eras, blending dancing with mini activities and exclusive rewards.
Each location reflects the visual and musical identity of its period, moving from 1970s disco and 1980s rock through the glossy pop of the 2000s and on to current music.
Party Mode and Workout Mode Return
Up to six people can play locally, with smartphones usable as controllers again instead of requiring dedicated accessories. Party Mode also returns, changing rules between rounds to introduce more unpredictable challenges, while Workout Mode keeps track of calories burned during each session.
Players can now create individual Dancer Cards too, allowing everyone in the same household to maintain their own customised profile. More importantly for existing players, owning Decades of Hits alongside any Just Dance edition released between 2023 and 2026 will let you access those libraries from the same place on the same console.
Purchased Music Packs and tracks available through an active Just Dance+ subscription will also remain accessible, reducing the need to jump between separate releases. The challenge now is deciding whether your family arguments start over ABBA, the Spice Girls or Bad Bunny.
