Everything is Crab Console Release Follows Mobile Launch in November
Carcinisation is apparently no longer content with PC. Odd Dreams Digital and publisher Secret Mode have announced a major platform expansion for Everything is Crab, bringing the animal evolution roguelite to iOS and Android on November 24 before PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions arrive on January 26, 2027.
The January rollout will also add Mac and Microsoft Store versions, substantially widening access to a game that Secret Mode says has now sold more than 650,000 copies on PC since launching in May.
That momentum is not particularly surprising given how readily its evolutionary systems encourage experimentation. As we found in our Everything is Crab review, building increasingly bizarre creatures creates plenty of room for both deliberate strategy and wonderfully questionable biological decisions.
Mobile Players Get Everything is Crab First
Android and iOS players will be first in line when the new versions arrive on November 24. Odd Dreams Digital has redesigned the controls around touchscreens and optimised the interface for smaller displays, but the mobile release is otherwise intended to contain the same gameplay and content as the existing PC version.
Players control Darwin, an initially unassuming blue blob trying to survive a living ecosystem where almost everything else is doing the same thing. Eating, scavenging and fighting provide new evolutionary traits that can gradually turn Darwin into anything from an efficient predator to something nature probably never intended.
Runs can develop very differently depending on those choices, with evolutions and specialisations allowing players to prioritise combat, movement, survival or simply assembling the strangest creature possible. There are also 20 difficulty levels alongside dedicated challenges and Endless runs for anyone determined to discover exactly how far their latest biological experiment can survive.
PS5, Xbox and Switch Versions Arrive January 26
Console players will follow on January 26, 2027, when Everything is Crab reaches PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Both Nintendo versions are connected through a free upgrade path, allowing owners of the original Switch release to move to Switch 2 later without purchasing the game again. The newer hardware will also benefit from improved performance and support for Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. Secret Mode says the console and mobile editions will maintain content parity with the existing PC game, including future updates, rather than developing into separate versions with different feature sets.

That becomes increasingly relevant as Odd Dreams Digital continues expanding the original release. The developer has already added new evolutions, specialisations and quality-of-life improvements since launch, with further content still in development.
More Than 650,000 Players Have Already Evolved
Everything is Crab launched on PC on May 8 and quickly established itself as a breakout success for Odd Dreams Digital’s debut game. It had already passed 500,000 sales by late June, with the newly announced platform expansion now putting that figure above 650,000.
Wherever Darwin ends up next, it seems increasingly difficult to escape the evolutionary conclusion promised by the title: eventually, everything really might be crab.
The mobile editions launch November 24, followed by PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Mac and Microsoft Store on January 26, 2027.
