PlayStation State of Play June 2025 All Announcements & Reveals

We are at the halfway point of the year, and there has already been a plethora of amazing games to spend your time in. However, that is not stopping Sony PlayStation from giving us even more. As part of the June State of Play presentation, we get a dose of what’s coming in the next few months, as well as in 2026.

For those who have not caught the showcase, let us get you through all the announcements and trailers that were on display.


Nioh 3

Team Ninja is really hard at work, with Nioh 3 set to assault your senses in early 2026. Experience the rise of a heroic Shogun, where you can fight using two distinct combat styles, Samurai and Ninja, as you battle against formidable yokai in an intense open field setting.

A demo is now available for players to try their hand out at this increasingly impressive series.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles will give a new generation of fans an experience that could very well change their perceptions of tactical RPGs. It will include both enhanced and classic versions of the game. The enhanced version features modern upgrades and quality-of-life changes, including fully voiced characters, a ground-up graphical overhaul and an updated user interface

The Ivalice Chronicles is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 30.

007: First Light

As promised, IO Interactive was on hand to showcase their take on James Bond at the State of Play presentation, giving players the opportunity to start his career on the right foot in 007: First Light. The Walking Dead‘s Lennie James will also be appearing in the game, which will launch in 2026.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Need even more fighting game goodness in your life? Arc System Works has you covered, as the developer of the Guilty Gear series enters the Marvel universe with a 4v4 fighting game that will hit both PC and PS5 in 2026.

Silent Hill f

The horror title finally has a release date, as fans can prepare for the dread in Silent Hill f this coming September 25. With Hinako Shimizu and her friends set to be besieged by mysterious fog and hidden dangers, the game looks set to be another worthwhile entry in the storied franchise.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Konami was also on hand at the State of Play presentation with more glimpses of what is to come in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. We get more Snake vs. Monkey content, as well as other additions that will be included with the new reimagination.

Thief

A new Thief game is coming, with the legendary stealth franchise getting a whole new perspective thanks to the PS VR2. Players take on the role of Magpie, who steals as the only means to survive. That is, until you uncover something greater: a legendary artifact holding a legacy from the past.

Thus begins your adventure in unravelling the truth. The game will be out later this year.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

The team behind Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will soon let the world experience the classic series with its lore and intense gameplay from a fresh perspective. This particular attraction will be out on July 31.

Lumines Arise

Who would have thought this day would come? Enhance Games is bringing a new entry for its puzzle franchise with Lumines Arise. Prepare for some musically infused puzzle-solving sequences, as the game is set to release on PS5 and PS VR2 this Fall 2025.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection

Time for a trip back to bloody history, as Digital Eclipse puts together the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, where all the different arcade, console, and handheld entries of the beloved series are in one complete package. The game will be out later this year.

Pragmata

It has been a long time since its reveal, but this latest State of Play finally sees the return of Capcom’s Pragmata. The sci-fi title with a unique two-in-one twist of action and strategy will be headed to your television screens this 2026.

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement

More Metroidvania goodness comes our way with the Bloodstained series getting another entry. Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement will be a prequel that “follows Leo and the fearless Black Wolves as they prepare to storm the cursed Ethereal Castle and confront the rising darkness.” The game is scheduled to launch in 2026.

Digimon Story Time Stranger

If you have been waiting for Digimon Story Time Stranger, the State of Play presentation has that one key detail you would want to know. The next entry in the franchise is coming to PS5 on October 3. Embark on an adventure that spans across the human world and Digital World, collecting and raising a diverse array of Digimon to fight in turn-based battles.

Project Defiant

PlayStation is home to many fighting games, and it makes sense for the console maker also to have its own branded fight stick. Codenamed Project Defiant, the device teased with a short trailer will let you “take the fight to your opponents with the included sling carry case, and enjoy precise in-game response with ultra-low latency wireless and wired play options, along with a durable, ergonomic design that’s built for battle.”

More State of Play Announcements

  • Baby Steps – Play as Nate, an unemployed failson with nothing going for him, until one day he discovers a power he never knew he had… putting one foot in front of the other. This hilarious, crazy game is out September 8.
  • Romeo is a Dead Man – Grasshopper Manufacture is back, and it’s bringing “the crimson-red catharsis of ultra-violent bloody action” and letting players “dive into a completely unpredictable story.
  • Sea of Remnants – A free-to-play RPG, it’s time for you to recruit your own crew and explore the currents, engaging in turn-based combat as you build yourself a unique island life.
  • Tides of Tomorrow – A multiplayer experience that welcomes you to Elynd, an oceanic planet, where life is facing extinction from a deadly disease, but all the players are the chosen ones to shape its destiny.
  • Sword of the Sea – Sword of the Sea invites you to explore its mysterious and visually stunning world with high-speed movement inspired by skateboarding games when it launches August 19.
  • Cairn – This title features a realistic simulation that allows you to climb intuitively, anywhere. Find the best holds and place your hands and feet seamlessly with simple controls. Adapt your posture, effort and balance, and you can try out the demo now.
  • Hirogami – Hirogami is a 3D action platformer inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami that launches on September 3. Explore a beautiful origami world as Hiro, a fan-wielding master of the art of ‘folding’ and embark on a mystical journey to save your fragile home from deadly digital invaders.
