Akupara Games x Pixeljam x Behold Studios Partnership Brings Back Cult Indie Favourites

Akupara Games has announced new publishing partnerships with Pixeljam and Behold Studios, adding several cult indie titles to its growing catalogue.

The move brings Chroma Squad and Out of Space under Akupara’s publishing support, alongside a selection of Pixeljam games including Dino Run DX, Grid Ranger, Last Horizon, Snowball!, and Cheap Golf. Pixeljam is also preparing two new retro-style releases, Cornhole Hero and Dino Jump, both set to launch on July 23.

Chroma Squad and Out of Space Find a New Home

Behold Studios is best known for games that mix humour, retro style, and strategic systems. Chroma Squad remains one of its most recognisable titles, turning tokusatsu and Power Rangers-inspired television production into a tactical RPG about stunt actors building their own show.

Out of Space takes the studio in a different direction, focusing on chaotic co-op survival as players clean, organise, and survive in a shared space home. With Akupara now representing both titles, the games have a clearer route to reach new players and platforms.

For fans who missed them the first time, the partnership with Akupara Games gives Behold’s catalogue a fresh push without changing what made those games stand out.

Pixeljam’s Browser Era Energy Returns

Pixeljam brings a different kind of nostalgia to the partnership. Founded in 2006, the studio built a following during the browser game era, with low-resolution visuals, arcade-focused design, and games that often felt deliberately strange.

Akupara Games will support several Pixeljam titles, and these games sit comfortably within the publisher’s broader taste for distinctive indie projects with strong visual identity and cult appeal. Steam collections for both studios are now available, giving players a convenient way to explore the newly represented catalogues.

Cornhole Hero and Dino Jump Arrive on July 23

The announcement is not only about older titles. Pixeljam is also bringing Cornhole Hero and Dino Jump to players on July 23.

Cornhole Hero leans into the absurdity of turning bag tossing into a fast arcade game, while Dino Jump continues Pixeljam’s long-running affection for prehistoric pixel energy. Together, they fit the studio’s history of simple ideas executed with charming, low-resolution flair.

For Akupara Games, the partnerships make perfect sense. The publisher has already built a reputation around indie games such as Rain World, The Darkside Detective, and the upcoming Montabi. Pixeljam and Behold Studios bring that same cult indie spirit, now with a renewed chance to find new audiences in 2026.
