Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok Demo Opens The Sky Realm Early
Cygames has released a new demo for Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, giving players an early look at the action RPG before its full launch on July 9.
The demo is available across the game’s platforms and includes Story Mode, Quest Mode and Tutorial Mode. It is designed as an entry point for newcomers, while also giving returning players a chance to test some of the new systems arriving with the new update.
The release also comes with a third trailer, The Journey So Far, which revisits Granblue Fantasy: Relink while adding elements of the new combat and gameplay features.
Story Mode, Quest Mode, and Seofon Arrive In The Demo
The Story Mode portion of the demo lets players experience an early section of Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Clearing it will unlock rewards that can be redeemed in the full version of either Granblue Fantasy: Relink or Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok.
Quest Mode can be played solo or with others, with crossplay matchmaking available in the demo. Four quests are included, although the fourth, Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer, must be unlocked by completing three other quests first.
That final quest also gives players access to Summons, a new battle mechanic being introduced in Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok. Seofon has also been added as a playable character in the demo, giving players an early chance to try the famed Star Sword Sovereign before launch.
Cygames has also made a few changes from the open beta version. The Aquila Ruby Golem in Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer has had its HP and ATK reduced, main menu character artwork has been updated, and fixes have been applied to co-op matching.
Endless Ragnarok Story And The Conflux Have Separate Unlock Paths
For players already working through Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Cygames has also detailed how the new story content unlocks. Players will need to clear The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage to unlock Chaos-difficulty quests and begin the story of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok. Summons will unlock after players start the new story and obtain their first Summon, with these powerful allies available in Chaos-difficulty or higher quests.
The Conflux, the new solo gameplay mode, unlocks through a new side quest in Seedhollow. That side quest becomes available during Chapter 6 of the main story and opens the first Cycle of The Conflux.
Further Cycles unlock through progression, with Cycle 2 tied to Hard-difficulty quests and Cycle 3 tied to Maniac-difficulty quests. Deeper Cycles will open as players advance through Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok’s story.

Six New Playable Characters Join In Different Ways
Cygames has also explained how the six new playable characters will be unlocked in the full game. Beatrix and Eustace can be recruited by trading Crewmate Cards at the Knicknack Shack, with additional ways to obtain Crewmate Cards planned for the full release. Gallanza and Maglielle are tied to Chapter Ø of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, where players will need to progress through Hard-difficulty quests until a specific cutscene grants their unique Crewmate Cards.
Fraux and Fediel will join through progression in the story, making them more directly tied to the new expansion content. Granblue Fantasy: Relink will also receive a major update alongside the launch of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, with Cygames planning quality-of-life improvements, overall rebalancing and new side quests. More details will be shared during a livestream on July 8 in Japan, with patch notes going live on the official website at the same time.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok launches on July 9 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
