For fans hoping to continue the story of the first Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles game, it has been a long wait. But SEGA, Aniplex, and CyberConnect2 have heard you, with Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 arriving in the West later this year on August 5.

Alongside the announcement for the new arena battler, a new story trailer has also dropped, showcasing the iconic Entertainment District Arc in all its 3D cel-shaded glory. As of today, pre-orders have become available to the public, allowing consumers to choose between the Digital Deluxe Edition, Digital Standard Edition, and Physical Edition.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will set you back US$69.99 and, alongside the base game, offers two Kimetsu academy character unlock keys, six standard character unlock keys, alternate system voices for VS Mode, an alternate costume for characters Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Tengen, and access to the game five days early on July 31.

The Digital Standard edition will run players US$59.99 and includes significantly fewer features than the Deluxe, only offering two Kimetsu Academy character unlock keys and two standard unlock keys in addition to the base game. The Physical Edition contains the least amount of content for the same price as the Digital Standard Edition, containing two standard character keys as a pre-order bonus.

Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 also has extra rewards for fans of the Demon Slayer franchise. If players possess save data from Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, they are entitled to six Kimetsu Academy character unlock keys and will receive one standard character unlock key and an alternate costume for Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma.
