Phantom Blade Zero Physical Edition Confirmed for PS5 in 2027
S-GAME has confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero will receive a physical PlayStation 5 release in 2027, giving collectors an alternative to the digital version arriving next week. The news accompanied the game’s official launch trailer, which offers another three minutes of Soul cutting his way through the Wulin before confirming physical editions at the end.
S-GAME is planning Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate boxed versions for PS5, with the Ultimate Edition shown alongside a collectible steel case. An exact release date, pricing and the complete contents of each physical edition have yet to be announced.
That clarification should be welcome for players who prefer owning their games physically, particularly after Phantom Blade Zero pre-orders initially opened only through digital storefronts.
Physical Collectors Will Have to Wait Until 2027
Physical versions will not arrive alongside the digital launch, so anyone determined to have Phantom Blade Zero on their shelf will need to wait until sometime next year. S-GAME’s promotional materials show physical discs across the announced editions, but the studio hasn’t detailed whether the complete game will be playable directly from disc without an additional download.

For everyone else, the wait is considerably shorter. The digital versions are already available to pre-order, and S-GAME previously said early demand exceeded expectations.
Phantom Blade Zero Preload Starts October 27
Digital preloading begins October 27, and the game unlocks two days later, on October 29, with Phantom Blade Zero launching digitally on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The latest trailer delivers one final burst of the elaborate martial arts action that has defined S-GAME’s marketing, including fresh boss encounters, weapon combinations, and the heavily choreographed exchanges the studio calls Kungfupunk.
After six hours with a near-final build of Phantom Blade Zero, we found far more supporting that spectacle than flashy combat alone, with exploration, worldbuilding, and named bosses feeding naturally into Soul’s journey through the Wulin.
Players ready to begin that journey can do so digitally on October 29. Anyone wanting a physical PS5 copy can choose from Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions when S-GAME brings them to retail in 2027.
