EVO Singapore 2027 Reveals Full Line-Up and Opens Registration
The Evolution Championship Series is officially heading to Southeast Asia for the first time, with EVO Singapore 2027 now opening player registration and ticket sales ahead of its January debut.
Taking place from January 15-17, 2027 at Halls E and F of the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the inaugural Singapore event will feature five main fighting games competing for a combined minimum prize pool of US$125,000.
The full line-up consists of Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Guilty Gear -Strive- and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. It is a compact selection compared to some of Evo’s larger events, but brings together several of the biggest competitive fighters heading into 2027, while giving Singapore’s fighting game community its first home EVO.
Tekken 8 Gets an Even Bigger Presence in Singapore
Tekken 8 will be more than just the main EVO festivities. EVO Singapore 2027 will also host the Tekken World Tour 2026 Global Finals, running from January 14-17, 2027. It marks the first time a Tekken competitive season will conclude at an official EVO event.
The Global Finals carry their own US$300,000 prize pool, with 36 qualified players advancing through its stages. The first day is reserved for the Regional Leaderboard Group Stage, followed by the Global Leaderboard groups on January 15.
January 16 will then host the Last Chance Qualifier, which replaces a conventional Tekken 8 EVO open bracket. Its winner earns the final place in the Global Finals bracket on January 17.
EVO Singapore 2027 Tickets Start From SG$25
Tickets and player registration are already open. Spectator single-day passes start from SG$25, while a three-day EVO Singapore 2027 pass costs SG$55. Competitors are required to purchase the three-day pass before separately registering for their chosen tournaments through Start.gg.
Beyond the headline tournaments, EVO Singapore is also being positioned as a broader fighting game festival. The venue will feature arcade machines, a fighting game museum, cosplay activities, merchandise and vendor areas, developer and publisher booths, alongside BYOC spaces for community-run tournaments.
That community element should be particularly relevant for Singapore, which already has plenty of history within the competitive fighting game scene. EVO General Manager Rick Thiher pointed to homegrown EVO champion Xian and events such as Southeast Asia Major when discussing why Singapore made sense for the series’ next expansion.
For those unable to attend in person, EVO Singapore’s competitions will also stream globally on Twitch and YouTube. EVO Singapore 2027 takes place from January 15-17, 2027 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, with the Tekken World Tour 2026 Global Finals beginning one day earlier on January 14.
