Dragon Shelter Launches on PC This September
Wild Forest Studio and Curve Games have confirmed that Dragon Shelter will launch for PC on September 24. The fantasy farming adventure appeared during Wholesome Direct, where its new demo was also made available for players to try now.
Set in a colourful, hand-painted world, Dragon Shelter follows the effort to restore the broken bond between humans and dragons. Rather than treating dragons as enemies to fight, the game builds its cosy fantasy loop around befriending them, caring for them, and working together to revive a struggling world.
A Cosy Farming Sim With Dragon Care
At its heart, Dragon Shelter blends familiar farming sim routines with creature care and light RPG progression. Players will rebuild a neglected farm, grow enchanted crops, craft tools, cook meals, and form relationships with townsfolk.
The dragons are more than cute companions. Each one has its own personality and abilities, helping players restore biomes, uncover secrets, and respond to the desolation spreading across the land. That gives the farming loop a broader adventure hook, as the farm becomes part of a larger world recovery effort.
The Steam Demo Offers the Opening Hours
The new Steam demo lets players experience the opening hours of Dragon Shelter ahead of launch. It introduces the early farm restoration loop, including replanting the land, meeting a water dragon, and trying water-based terraforming.
Cooking also forms part of the early demo, with players able to prepare jam and other recipes for the local townsfolk. It is a practical sample of the game’s rhythm, moving between farm work, dragon bonding, food preparation, and community interaction.
Seasonal Changes and Exploration Shape the Adventure
Dragon Shelter will also feature four seasons, each affecting gameplay, festivals, and available activities. Beyond the farm, players can explore new biomes, gather rare resources, and discover more about the world’s magical creatures.

The game’s structure appears built for players who enjoy the comfort of farming sims but want a stronger fantasy identity. With dragons tied directly into progression and restoration, Dragon Shelter is aiming for a warmer alternative to the usual dragon-slaying adventure.
Dragon Shelter is available to wishlist now on Steam, with its demo also playable on PC.
