Let’s Build a Dungeon Early Access Begins February 11, 2027

Springloaded has confirmed that Let’s Build a Dungeon will enter Early Access on February 11, 2027, bringing its unusual blend of game development simulation and RPG creation to PC. The game will launch through Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview for PC, and a playable demo is available now through Steam and the Windows Store.

At its core, Let’s Build a Dungeon puts players in charge of their own game studio while also asking them to actually build the MMORPG that studio is developing. That means managing staff and player expectations sits alongside designing quests, constructing worlds and jumping in to playtest the game yourself.

Early Access Becomes Part of the Game Itself

The more interesting twist comes from how Springloaded is handling its own Early Access period. In Campaign Mode, players will eventually release their fictional MMORPG into “GameLink Early Access”, where they will have to respond to feedback from virtual players and continue expanding their creation.

Springloaded plans to mirror that process in real life, using feedback gathered from players during Let’s Build a Dungeon’s own Early Access period to shape the road towards version 1.0.

“By allowing players to mimic the real-life development cycle of Let’s Build a Dungeon within the game, we’re making good on our commitment to show players what game development is really like,” Game Director James Barnard said.

As updates arrive for the real game, Campaign Mode will also expand, allowing players to progress further towards eventually releasing their own completed title.

Four Game Modes Offer Different Ways to Build

Campaign Mode is only one part of the package, with four modes available when Early Access begins. Just Build Mode strips back some of the management pressure in favour of a more relaxed world-building experience built around a deck system.

Creative Mode goes further, providing an open sandbox with game-making tools and fewer restrictions. Dungeoneering Mode takes a different approach by letting players explore curated creations from Springloaded, other developers and the wider community.

Let’s Build a Dungeon God Mode

There will also be Twitch integration, allowing viewers to appear as virtual players or vote on important studio decisions during streams. Springloaded says the game’s content library already includes thousands of hand-drawn assets, giving players plenty to work with whether they want to focus on the business side of development or simply build their own RPG worlds.

Let’s Build a Dungeon enters Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview for PC on February 11, 2027, with Springloaded also planning an Xbox release in partnership with Kowloon Nights.
