Ubisoft Lineup Brings Remakes to Bangkok

Ubisoft has confirmed its lineup for Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026, with Rayman Legends Retold and Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake both playable ahead of release when the event opens in Bangkok later this month.

The publisher will occupy Booth D1-D2 during the entertainment portion of the show, with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced also playable with its latest update. Just Dance Decade of Hits will have a separate presence at Booth J2.

It gives attendees another opportunity to go hands-on with two of the company’s upcoming remakes. We recently found Rayman Legends Retold increasingly convincing as its expanded worlds and new ideas came into focus, while our hands-on with Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake explored Ubisoft’s deliberately faithful approach to modernising the strategy classic.

Developers to Discuss Why Classics Get Remade

The gaming giant is also joining the conference programme on October 29 with a panel titled “Why Remake a Classic? How Ubisoft is Reimagining Beloved Games”.

Audio Director Erik-Jon Evangelista and Production Director Alessandro Arndt Mucchi will discuss the work behind Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Rayman Legends Retold, including how their teams decide what to preserve, what can change, and how player feedback influences modern remakes.

Ubisoft Developers Will Discuss Why Classics Get Remade

The session runs from 12:10 PM to 12:40 PM Bangkok time on Stage 1. The discussion should be particularly relevant to Black Flag Resynced, which Ubisoft Singapore led. We previously spoke with the team about the decisions behind rebuilding Edward Kenway’s adventure while retaining the identity of the original.

Tournaments, Developer Sessions and Giveaways Fill the Ubisoft Booth

Away from the demos, Ubisoft is planning several community activities across the show’s three entertainment days. A Just Dance score challenge kicks things off, followed by a Rayman Legends Retold Kung Foot tournament and a 40-minute session where attendees can play alongside members of the development team. The final day will feature a Rainbow Six Siege 1v1 challenge against professional players and content creators.

Visitors can also complete a Rally Card by playing games and joining stage activities, with rewards including Rayman Legends Retold balloons, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced keychains and other Ubisoft merchandise while stocks last.

Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 runs from October 29 to November 1 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with its public entertainment area open from October 30.
